Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are compounds composed of nitrogen and oxygen, the most important of which are no and NO2. During the combustion process, nitrogen oxides can be divided into three categories according to the causes of formation:

1. Thermal NOx: during combustion, nitrogen in the air is oxidized at high temperature to generate NOx;
2. Fast NOx: during combustion, nitrogen in the air reacts with hydrocarbon ion groups in the fuel to generate NOx
3. Fuel type NOx: NOx is generated by thermal decomposition and oxidation of nitrogen oxides in fuel during combustion.

The transformation of combustion equipment belongs to the pollution prevention technology in the combustion process. It is to meet the requirements of low nitrogen emission by replacing ultra-low nitrogen burner or implementing flue gas recirculation transformation. In terms of the current boiler transformation market, flue gas external circulation (FGR) technology is widely used; While reducing NOx emission, this technology may bring negative effects such as insufficient combustion of fuel and furnace coking.
